Why did I start this company?

As an engineer in the pharmaceutical industry I was fed up with poor quality, over-priced, long lead-time asset tags. When we installed a new deaerator for one of the boilers it needed 100+ tags. I contacted multiple marking companies and wanted to keep it simple. But they came back with all sorts of questions as if this was a fully custom job. What tag size? shape? thickness? finish? hole size? hole location? material? They wanted a drawing of the basic tag design itself! I believe those options should be baked in as a default product line. Here at USA Marking we make one tag:

1.5″ diameter, round, 316 SS, with the largest, darkest, legible, permanent text, on both sides of the tag.

We focus on what really matters: making the data to be contained on the tag to be as legible and long-lasting as possible. That’s why our tags always use the most legible fonts, in the darkest engraving we can accomplish, on both sides of the tag. Have you ever had a tag 15′ up in the air but its turned the wrong way? You reach up with a broom stick and start poking around to try and get an idea of the asset ID number… NO MORE!!
